i love this! It's an exercise but it's also amazingly musical. This might sound weird, but it reminds me of some of the music used in pokemon emerald (meteor falls, sealed chamber, etc)..I'm at 60 BPM right now but I'm really feeling this backing track so I hope to get to 85 pretty soon
woow Finally Jesus came back with shorter hair. Just woow and I thought i was pretty good at guitar LOL from now on i will just sit in the corner and be quiet
If you have problems with tap-slide part then in might have something to do with not enough practicing
and/or not perfect sound for that kind of action.
I would be able to tell you more if you could record yourself playing it
so I could hear and see the issue.
Hey Muris ! =)
I´m totally speeechless ! Amazing ! Totally amazing !!!!
I have a question : I´m really trying to play that as slow as required to play it really clean ...but i don´t get the tap-slide part...it does not sound good....
Greetings Jean =)
Yeah, it sounds just like those soundtracks.
Wow, such an amazing atmosphere you created! For me sounds like a perfect soundtrack for program like Planet Ocean on discovery.. Whales, crabs, dolphins.. you know Very very cool in other words
Hmm,good idea indeed,haven't thought of that,cheers!
Glad thats the case Muris, you should use this one in your solo performances with backing tracks !
Thanks Pedja, one of my favorite backings I've made for GMC,no doubt.
Great lesson Muris!
Unbelievable backing track sound with Synth lead following - very space like sounding love it man
You just need to know which note values you're playing.
just like for picking, legato or whatever.
Many people have same problem with sweeping cause they use to play
it like a rapid sweep, without thinking of notes durations inside of sweep.
muris, i have a question on sweeping with the metronome.. how do u do it? lol
or anyone can answer this to be honest:D
because i want to put together a practice routine and i wanted to know how to practice sweeping on the metronome... and btw that was sweet
Thanks Maxx.
Problem is,I don't have project folders
for older lessons but I will give by best
to make new slower backings asap.
hey muris, another great lesson
i dont suppose you could upload/send me a slightly slower version of the backing track to this lesson?
i have been practicing it at 50bpm and can kind of do it, however i would to take it slower to make sure i am getting the notes ringing out crisp and clear.
Excuse me for not learning this piece but I have to assemble the pieces of ma jaw that has been spread out all over the floor.
Give it a try and ask if you need anything!!
SO GOOD! i can't play this yet, but il come back to it in the future
Thanks Carlos.
nice lesson and good job Muris!!!!
alright great thanks.
Good question but I think I explained it before, somewhere in text.
Here's the deal,my sound isn't too heavy and sustained,it's just single coil with medium dist.
So when I was doing slow versions I had to tap twice instead,
sound dies too fast to perform slide.
Hey Muris I was just wondering why sometimes instead of sliding the tap like in your tablature, you tap twice.
I don't see the way you're holding pick so I can't tell unfortunately...
Can you make a video and post it in my sub-board,practicing section?
No worry about quality tho, cell phone is more than good.
I've practiced this over and over and over and over and im not getting any better at it.
Am i holding the pick wrong?
My pink also gets very tired.
Cheers,thanks
Thats some nice sweeping you got there
Thanks Smikey!!!
As always, first slow then up to tempo,
it's not THAT hard, just need some practicing, that's all
this is.. incredible soo smooth i hope someday i can play stuff like this!
Thanks
I'm not sure if Romeo uses similar licks but I'll take it
as a compliment anyhow
Sounds like Symphony X (aka awesome.)
We all must,no doubt about that,no worries
Man, I should begin practicing sweeping again...
That's just awesome.
30 years at least
Thanks tho!
Sweeping+tapping is a pretty old trick - at least 15 years old. But it's incredible in fast solos.
Thats crazy! My friends and I where just joking last week how we were gonna learn how to sweep and tap at the same time and now you've already done it!
AMAZING!!!!!
sounds very aquatic... very relaxing... in a way,
all i have to say is:
good thing i was wearing a diaper this time..!
lol
i can play the first video at a little slower than half speed but i can't get the slide with the tapping finger to sound at all. Is there a trick to this or is it just something i'll get with more practice?
This is such a great lesson. Such a cool sound.
i think this sounds amazing!
I am speechless! Amazing stuff Muris, I won't think about even trying this one, but I will learn it one day
Wowwwww!!
ThanX Muris:) you just made me wake up to a good practice;) I love sweeping lessons, maybe abit to much.. cause I forget to play other stuff..hahahha
Keep em coming!!
jaw dropping technique and beautiful progression!
Awesome lesson and perfect playing!
Hi Muris, it`s so awesome lesson. Your playing is so unbelievable and perfect.
I will practice this lesson every day and hope sometimes i be able to play this lesson like you.
Muris, you are simply the best.
Thanks
Thanks Ryan
This one IS tough indeed,so just take your time and do easier stuff atm,
I'm sure you'll try this lesson sooner or later.
wow..... Im getting much better in the last few months but I think this is still a little to much for me. lol Great Job Muris!
Thanks guys
Good question about muting indeed.
As you can see,I play some hammers and pull-offs here.
Having just one note per string would be really hard to mute,
this way I have enough time to smoothly shift to another string
without heavy releasing and unwanted noise.
Plus I'm doing small muting with my right hand palm as well,
it's just not that safe and strong muting like on the bridge.
sounds like the Final Fantasy video game series theme
Muris amazing lesson man, you're playing is unbelievable.
I'm waiting to see you on the cover of Guitar World magazine soon!
perfect job man
Wow great playing muris
Excuse me while I pick my jaw up of the floor!!!
WOW, Excellent!!!!!
OOOOOOOOOOOH MY GOD !!!!!!! It's really awesome !!!
I may try this
Incredible, Muris you are the best !!! (insert histeric fan scream here)
=O Muris I have a quick question, Pavel always suggests muting at the bride with your right palm to keep the strings from ringing out, how do you mute when your right hand is all the way at the neck? This is a very cool lesson btw
Awesome lessson!
WOW, this OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!
wow awesome muris way beyond me but just had to comment
warm regards symon
this lesson is sick good, thx:)
Holy Crap. As soon as I get my bionic fingers insalled I will try this lesson. Very impressive.
Crazy Nothing more to say
Whoa amazing. This is an incredible lesson Muris. Thanks so much I will be using this one eventually.
those 6 shapes are challenging...
ive only practiced 5,4,and 3 sweep shapes.
wow Muris thats a great sweeping!!!
love your lessons man!!
Woah muris, im just speechless.
@muris - then its even more impressive because your playing is so accurate I couldn't separate the two!
Thanks for clearing that up Muris, because I definitely hear a synth in there and I was wondering how you got your guitar to sound like that - perfect sync with the synth - amazing stuff once again.
Awesome! It sounds so good! Great job Muris!
Thanks everybody!!
Eddie, this is NOT lesson we spoke about,no worries
Andrew,as the matter of fact there IS synth lead which plays same notes as I do,
it's bit on the left in the mix, guitar is bit on the right side.
Needed it to double me and to get really nice spacey sounding.
great lesson and thanks for the pick
Thats amazing!
I love the composition, because its not just basics sweeps, it sound like it can be the musical theme of a Sc-Fi
Awesome lesson, i ll try it.
OMG! This is so awesome!!! When i get better at sweeping i will try this lesson
Thanks,
Alex
Unbelievable! So clean it sounds like a synth arpeggiator, and a beautiful progression too - words fail me!

Fantastic!!
I want a vid of pavel playing this at 200 bpm
Great job Muris
That's great, but I'm afraid that it will be a while before I can learn that one.
Wow Muris thats insane!!!!That's some pretty sweet playing.Definatly a tough lesson,Well Done!
Is this the Beginner Techniques Lesson I asked for?!
Because if it is I think we better find a definition
for those who aren't beginners yet!
However this is incredible! WOW!
Muris this is just awesome! Long live sweep-taps!!
